About Us

Emily Íviðja (they/them) is a völva, trollswoman, and a multi-media artist. Growing up on a small farm in New Hampshire, Emily has spent their entire life interacting with the spirit realm. Their practice is deeply rooted in the animist beliefs of the Norse tradition, and informed by their relationships to the spirits of land and place. They are a devotee of Angrboða, the Wolf Mother, and they work closely with the trollwomen of Jarnviðr, the Iron Forest of Norse mythology. Their practice is woven from ancestral teachings, primordial darkness, and a love for the cyclical nature of our world, with a priority on community-focused work and service.

ULVWITCH was born from Emily's lifelong engagement with the unseen, initially manifesting as a conversation between their love for handicrafts and their adoration for that which remains after death - chiefly animal bones, furs, and preserved remains.

In tandem with their artistic work, Emily teaches classes on various subjects, all from a Norse animist perspective. They have been offering workshops and rituals at Deadwick's Ethereal Emporium in Portsmouth, NH since 2022. Additionally, they have also presented at the Salem Witchcraft and Folklore Festival, as well as the online Botanica Obscura Conference.

As a practitioner of seiðr, Emily offers their divinatory, magical, and ritual services, both online and in person.
